Ergonomics

The Skat Endurance handlebars are an evolution from the Tokyo Bunch Bars released in 2019. Available in four different widths – 275mm, 300mm, 325mm, and 350mm, the bars to suit diverse needs and preferences.

Drop Shape: The Skat Endurance Handlebars maintain a familiar drop shape and profile to the well esteemed Bunch Bars that provide great hand positions through the curvature of the drop profile. A slightly more vertical drop ensures the athletes can maximise their bike fit reach out to the 100mm UCI limit.

Increased Reach: An generous reach provides great flexibility for various bike fits while increasing forearm support while riding in the hoods.  

Wrist Clearance: Tactically positioned wrist clearances minimises intersection with the riders wrists while riding out of the saddle.

Asymmetric design: A subtle asymmetric madison sling thumb grip provides comfort and support to hurl your partner into the race with strength and control.

The Grips

Our patent-pending interchangeable hood grips, a testament to modularity and adaptability, allow for unmatched customization specific to the users needs.

Grip A: For riders who do prefer a more traditional hood. Its low profile design is primarily to cap off the mounting recess for a flush finish. A shallow hump provides some support for the athlete to rest on – especially during recovery periods, however the low-profile nature is to keep the protrusion out of the way.

Grip B: Replicating a road bike hood grip position. A hook on the top adds support for 2 fingers to hook underneath for further grip security. A hole through the centre reduces frontal area when the rider is in the drops. The hole energises airflow behind the grip and across the forearm.

Grip C: An aggressive narrow position with the hoods angled inward. The rider grips the handlebars in a sphinx type position where the riders fists are clamped horizontally. The grip position narrows the frontal area of the rider for further optimised aerodynamics.
